Pick a title that appeals to you in this moment and take 5 minutes to pause, listen, and enjoy. When possible, it’s helpful to take 5-minute relaxation breaks every hour during each stressful day.

How do relaxation breaks help?

Our Central Nervous Systems practice the Stress Reaction reflexively a lot every day. So, it’s good to Mindfully practice the Relaxation Response often every day, too, to interrupt the Stress Hormone flow.

Take 5-Minute Relaxation Breaks often to soothe muscle tension, mental tension and emotional tension, so you can Respond rather than React to daily life events.

Below, you’ll find 5-Minute Relaxation Training Exercises that I wrote and recorded in my office for you to use as you desire. I recorded them just as I would offer them in my office, one patient at a time. Sometimes you may hear my office noises, like my Therapy Dog helping herself to drink of water.
