Pause/Paws Each hour For A Joy Moment
Its easy to miss the good things going on right around us when we are busy with deadlines and busy lives. I want to challenge you to look around for the fun and the joy, too, for a minute each hour. You don’t have to stop working to look around for 1 minute each hour for something lovely or pretty or funny. Then go back to work. The effort behind doing this activity of Pausing/Pawsing each hour to relax and exhale and look around for something soothing interrupts the adrenaline surging in your body for just a moment. That moment of interruption is a Powerhouse. If you feel the joy for a moment you have successfully shut off adrenaline and tapped into your serotonin and endorphin relaxation hormones instead. Keep practicing these interruptions all day. See what happens over time. I think you will be surprised at how you feel.
Remember, there is supposed to be a lot more trash than treasure in the world. When possible get hung up on how much good there really is everyday. We need not worry about forgetting to pay attention to bad things happening in the world because we cannot possibly do that. Just see and look for some treasue evey hour, too.
